About Lost Light[]
Gameplay
The overall core mechanics of Lost Light are that of a Mobile Shooter, but the other main focus of the game other than eliminating enemies is Looting the main difference in this area is that the game does not operate in a Battle Royale setting but every game begins with you spawning in set locations inside the map (Tip: make sure to learn all the different spawns in order to learn where other Firefly's and Player Marauders will be in the beginning of the match).
There is also a game timer before you succumb to the poison in the battlefield caused by mutated plants in the Exclusion Zone so be sure to go to the one of many extraction points in the map before time runs out. But before you do escape make sure to fill up with loot and other valuables from other players and the general area.
Looting, Black Market, Heidi's shop
The looting experience of Lost Light is like no other, with items of high value scattered across all the four maps, where do we begin?
First lets dive into regular floor loot, they are divided into 7 types of loot: Health and food items, Armor and helmets, Backpacks, Weapons and modifications, Ammo and grenades, and finally items that can only be sold. These valuables are also tied with their sale value to Heidi but be sure to also learn the value of items to be sold in the Black Market.
Next lets discuss key rooms, these rooms require keys or key cards in order to access and some may supply you with regular loot and some may surprise you with very high valued loot and very rare items and weapons, so make sure to fill up your secure containers with keys and such to open these valuable areas and gather many needed provisions that will increase your net worth.
Up next is Heidi's shop where in you may buy items at a fixed price. Usually you will come here to buy Gun modifications, Armor and other Battle related items but unlike the Black Market the high end items sold here can only be bought at a specific level or after completing a certain quest for one of the Traders.
Finally lets talk about the Black Market, the black market is used to trade with other Firefly's to gather high value items. There are many items that are needed that sold in the Black Market such as Quest items, Craftable items, modifications, and other things to upgrade your Home Base with, although these specific items do not come cheap and require a hefty amount of money to purchase and whether or not it is worth it is all up to you.
